Materials Needed
- 4-ply yarn (blue, white and purple color)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Stuffing Materials
- Stitch markers, darning needle and scissors
- Embroidery thread (for the eye and mouth)
Abbreviations (US Terms)
- R – round/row
- ch – chain
- mr – magic ring
- st – stitch
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- dc – double crochet
- inc – increase
- dec – decrease
- sl st – slip stitch
- FLO – front loop only
- BLO – back loop only
- *– repeat
- [ ] – total stitch count in each round/row
- sk – skip
Pattern
face
R1: mr, 8 sc
R2: inc * 8 [16]
R3: (sc, inc) * 8 [24]
R4–9: sc around [24]
R10: (sc, dec) * 8 [16]
- Cut the yarn and stuff the face. Close the face with the leftover yarn.
Ears
Make a mr. 2ch.2dc.2ch.slst
- Close the magic ring.
- Sew it to the center of the ear.
Ears (inner ear)
Make a mr. 2ch.2dc.2ch.slst
- Close the magic ring.
- Sew it to the center of the ear.
Arms
R1: mr, 6 sc
R2–4: sc around [6]
- Do not stuff the ear
- Cut the yarn and leave a long tail.
Legs
R1: mr, 8 sc
R2: sc around [8]
- Cut the yarn and leave a long tail.
body
Join both legs. (8 sts from each leg = 16 sts)
R3: 16 sc
R4–5: 6 sc, 4 sc in white, 6 sc [16]
R6: 3 sc, dec, 2 sc, 4 sc in white, 2 sc, dec, 3 sc [14]
- Stuff the legs and body and cut the yarn leaving a long tail.
nose
Make a mr. 2ch.2dc.2ch.slst
- Close the magic ring.
Assembly
- Sew the nose to the center between rounds 8 and 9 of the face.
- Use embroidery floss to embroider the eyes and mouth.
